"Unofficial" Runboard Announcements mailing list
I set up a mailing list for any and all Runboard members who are interested. Anyone who subscribes will be notified of system-wide board stoppers whenever I'm around to announce it, as well as planned extended downtimes and what-not.
In addition to the more critical Runboard-related announcements, it also includes opt-ins for different types of announcements, such as when new board skins are added to the Skins forum at the Support board, contenders and winners of Pastor Rick's Runboard Discovery Series contest, video tutorials (if and when I finally make some), and other things. Just view the list on the subscription page to see which ones you're interested in.
Note that this is not officially endorsed by Thor (the owner of Runboard) and he probably doesn't even know about the newsletter as of the time of this posting. I started this on my own, due to requests by Runboard members for system-wide announcements, and I personally take full responsibility for it.

As you can see from that 3rd link, you have the option to unsubscribe at any time, although a user-specific link will be included at the end of every email I send to facilitate that process.
If you have any questions after checking it out, feel free to ask in a response to this thread. Any constructive feedback you may have will be welcome and greatly appreciated as well.
I hope you all like it!

Re: "Unofficial" Runboard Announcements mailing list
I'm guessing you're not the only one.
I see one person who tried to register with a "yanoo.com" address and another person who tried to register with an entirely different "ahoo.com" address.
I corrected the typos and sent emails to the corrected addresses.
In the future, I think I'll require people to type their email address in twice and run a check to make sure it's typed in the same way both times. Two people making typos in their addresses in the same day is a sure sign that I would be making a lot of corrections in the future if I don't add this redundancy.
Thanks for helping me make it better! That is, whenever I get around to adding the redundancy. Until then, I'll just check for mailer daemons, fix the ones that are obvious, and take the ones that aren't obvious off the list and let them try again.

Re: "Unofficial" Runboard Announcements mailing list
I have fallen on my head a few times. Once on cement from standing on a parked riding lawn mower, once on the grass from standing on the seat-back of a 4-seater of a swing set, once trying to do a backflip and hitting my head on the floor of a mobile home. The last one wasn't really falling, but it was with so much force that I might as well have. That was all when I was little.
Later on in life, there was another time when I was working in a factory, got dizzy from the chemicals combined with the movement of the conveyor, and passed out, hitting my head on the cement floor there. When I came to (I don't know how long I was out), my supervisor was telling people not to move me, but I just wanted off of the dirty floor and got up. It was about 5 minutes before a break, so I just went outside a little early, had a cigarette or two, then went right back to work after the break. I found a different job not too long after that, but I refuse to let a little fainting spell send me home.
