stickers and such

assuming you drive a car, what stickers if any do you have plastered on it?

mine includes the following stickers on the back
"the price of apathy is to be ruled by evil men ~Plato"
"kill your television!"
"question reality"
"non-judgement day is near"

and a little stick on plaque that reads "namaste"
left side window is a little sticker that reads "We are here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh"
and a little sticker on the right side window is a "Unitarian universalist" sticker.

what? to many?

For me, one is too many. I like reading them though. It gets a little dangerous when the text is small and you have to get real close to read it.

I just have a little FSM symbol on mine. It's unknown to most people who might disagree with it, but I want like-minded individuals to know they're not alone in this conservative little town.

There are so many good bumper stickers and symbols out there that it's really hard to choose just one or two, and I really don't like the idea of putting too many stickers on my car or having people rear-end me trying to read them.

I really like your Plato sticker. emoticon

Yeah, like that but white. emoticon

I thought about getting a Darwin fish, but heard too many stories of people breaking their legs off. And it's the very people who commit that kind of vandalism who call atheists immoral. Go figure.

Does anyone have the magnetic ones? I heard that they cause iron ions to migrate to the surface paint and eventually cause a rust spot.

This site that sells magnets claims that only some (cheap) magnets will cause rust, and of course they say theirs don't. This message board post has a first-hand account of someone who used magnetic signs on their car, which did cause rust.

I wouldn't want a magnetic one because it would be too easy for people to steal, but now I have another reason to avoid them. It might be true that some won't cause rust, but why take the chance? Thanks for the heads up. emoticon

Both mine are the magnetic ones......on our old vehicles we had some BIG magnetic ones.....(lets see if I can find the pics)
On my Trailblazer is had these Red/white/blue Eagle "flames"...which were magnetic and were about 16 inches long and 4 or 5 inches wide...
Image

And you can barely see Hubby's truck flames..his were even larger than mine.
Image

But we had those on for several years, and the color's in the magnets faded, but they never caused rust AND we lived in Minnesota, where they use salt and chemicals in the winter to keep the roads free of ice, and our vehicles were NEVER washed during the winter, so those stayed on through all the salt and cold for 9 months each year...

BOTH sets were the more expensive ones! That might make a difference. I know we paid around $18 to $20 per pair....hubby got his HERE!!!!!

Those are nice, Queeny. emoticon Thanks for the info, too. I wouldn't count on expensive ones being good just because they're expensive, but I would trust coolsignsandgrafix.com, thanks to your referral. emoticon
