Age of Conan

Hi all..

Just looking at the video link atm..
Has any1 thought about trying Age Of Conan? (Or been involved in the beta testing?)

I must say It looks the bollocks and chatting to some RL friends looks like the next best MMORPG.. (Possibly better than WOW.. - Is that possible? - we will see)

As an advanced warning (As i will need to upgrade my PC to run this and actually buy it - I haven't preordered) I am considering giving it a month trial so will reduce my WoW time soon to probably 2 raids per week..

Thought it best to let you all know.. Has any1 else had simular thoughts? It would be nice to see some of you on there emoticon

Regards,

B

Re: Age of Conan

Cool...

Perhaps a new Incarnamortis - Age of Conan Guild in the making?

But seriously I have links to EX wow people (from guilds such as FADER & DARK SUN) who are already planning a guild called Lamentations..

Could possibly through you all an inv - these people were part of the first WOW guilds which conquered PVE content on Dragonblight pre TBC..

Btw any discussion of who will roll what - looking at the new classes available?

Also - seeing as your planning to look at Age of Conan does this mean that IM (and WOW) may become more casual than it is at present?? (just thinking ahead..)

Regards,

B

There are no plans to stop what IM is doing or make it more casual currently. It really depends on how much impact the game will have on our current members. Just because I have no plans to stop playing WoW doesn't mean that half the guild will carry on playing. We may well lose quite a few ppl who are on breaks or just plain had enough of WoW.

Just speculation, AoC might be total toss so no clue right now. Just have to see how it goes. But I'm fed up of Wow quite frankly, I need something else to do in my spare time as there's nothing left in the game for me besides raiding now.

In terms of classes I'm thinking of going for a healer type, need to have a look at the least ugly race really emoticon

Really what Chandra said. As it stands, I enjoy raiding (mostly...) and I enjoy WoW from time to time. However, I don't enjoy alts as much as I used to and there is nothing really left besides raiding for me on WoW as it stands.
I'm just going to suck it and see - try out Conan and see how it plays. I aim to divert my time between the two games depending on what I feel like at the time - but raiding ofc as before.

Currently though there seems to be a lot of people taking breaks, or just plain on less, and sometimes we lack the numbers (or classes) to raid. I don't think Conan will impact any more on IM (and WoW as a whole) than the current state of WoW already is.

Think i might give AoC a try ass well, as WoW is becoming increasingly more trivial to me.

Im looking forward to try the new gameplay that AoC has to offer, but ecpect my interest in it to swindle quite fast, when the exitement of the first encounter disapears.

Hmmm... now to decide what to roll... *picture himself as a druid all dressed in offgear*... i think ive got it!

For Cowbell!
