Anyone starting to play Aion?
Diana and I will start play Aion, just checking if anyone from IM have got it as well? Always nice to meet up with some nice fellows in a new game.
What server will you play on?
We are thinking of joining "Perento".

Re: Anyone starting to play Aion?
Looks nice but I think I will be saving whats left of my shattered social life for Star Wars Old Kingdom. I try and live by an old pearl of Confucian wisdom "In life, there is only room for one MMO".
I get visions of my life ending as a newspaper headline "Man dies as last World of Warcraft server is switched off for good. His nurse said 'his hunter was like a son to him, his heart just couldnt take the loss'".
--- Its better to burn out than fade away ! Actually no, its better to fade away, that gives you more time to drink beer.

I don't get Aion. There's a lot of hype around it and i have no idea why. When i played it was boring as hell.

Re: Anyone starting to play Aion?
No offense but you heard wrong.
In China and Korea it is still somewhat grindy but what they've done for the western audience is add so many quests that it's not grindy at all.
Yes, I've been following it, yes I'm tempted to try it out for a few months, not sure when. Kinda pointless atm given my situation.

Re: Anyone starting to play Aion?
What sort of game is it? High fantasy?
I have played a few MMO games in the pass, as in the form of;
Everquest - 1999 to 2002
Nether winter nights - for 4 -6months
D&D on-line for about 12 months
Wow - on and off from 2006 to present?
Age of Conan - for 1 - 3 months
Warrhammer on-line for 2 - 3 months
Wow was def the easiest to play and the best all round game, all in all we moan about blizz but trust me they put in alot of effort into maintaining etc.
Everquest was excellent, just out dated.
NWN - was fun with Vard and tnuc, only cos we went across the grain alot, and were dodgy cheating players.
A og Conan - was good, just not enough content and too buggy.
Warhammer was great, but i didnt know any 1 in real life after my bro and aggy stoped playing it, so i drifted back to wow.
D&D - was fantastic, the most atmospheric game i have played, to get the full enjoyment out of it - you need 4 other real life or close MMO friends and bottle of wine - all on ts. fantastic, great only reason i stoped is because i stoped playing computer games, got out of the circle and drifted back to wow.
