28 weeks later: pretty darn good. lots of blood and gore. i liked it better than the first one. 10/10

28 Weeks Later: I'm a little iffy about this one because the first movie (28 Days Later) is one of my all-time favorite movies ever and I love it very much...so I kind of have mixed feelings on this one. Hmm...where to start... *thinks*
Ok, the best part of the movie is that they play the song that I loved oh so much in the first film. It's the kind of song that's just beautiful, that's played during the perfect scenes and makes those perfect scenes a million times perfecter. Like, in the first movie it was played in my favorite scene when Jim sticks his thumbs in the army dude's eyes while drenched in blood and rain. In this second movie they play it in the begining and during the "execution" scene, as I call it, and in another part (i think). If you wanna hear the song you can download it here (click me!!). I don't know what it is about that particular song but everytime I hear it, it feels like someone is griping my heart tight and I can't breathe, and I know that just sounds silly but **** you...it's beautiful. Maybe because they play it during the most dramatic emotional moments in the movie, I don't know. Enough about the song though...
The storyline was alright, obviously they had to be different than the first movie - the way the outbreak happened again was good and believeable.
There definetly wasn't enough blood and infected people infecting others, I wished for more...for more of that panic, for more of that "OH MY GOD!". Yeah, there was that one scene where all hell broke loose (the execution scene)...that was the best scene in the entire movie. That scene was filled with emotion and made me feel for all those people and for those army dudes that had to do what they were ordered to do...
I didn't really like the characters in the movie, I don't think they played/acted very well...the one main army guy was good but the kids and that chick, no. I didn't get that feeling for them, I didn't feel for them at all. It was just kinda like...ok.
The ending though, I ****ing hated the ending so ****ing much. I HATED IT!
So all in all, I give the movie a 8/10. Simply because it was a decent movie, a decent sequel and I enjoyed it and will go out and buy it...but it lost 2 points for the ****ing ending.

Was that the movie with the kid who had that skull deformity? I used to love that movie when I was little...don't know why, it made me cry everytime I watched it.
