A scripture on Hunger

John 6: 35

And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth in me shal never thirst.

Dear Lord I pray that those who have little or no food to put on the table, find a way to provide nourishment for there families and themselves. In this day and age as we who seem to spend tons of money on take out food, we should remember that there are those who do not have that extra five dollars to go to Wendy's or McDonalds and just grab something in their car.

When we do not have extra money to go buy that half gallon of rocky road we should remember those who have never heard of rocky road ice cream, but have had a rocky road in providing for their families.

We should always be thankful that we are able to buy that gallon of milk when there are those who can't even buy a pint.

In Jesus' name, Amen

For those who are hungry...what do you buy..do you buy prepackaged prepared foods? Foods that are high in salt and preservatives? Or do you spend that dollar on a pound of apples, or grapes....God gave us fruit and veggies and grains to eat, and that will be cheaper than the prepared foods in teh long run.

God I pray that people find the food you provide so bountifully for us, give us the wisdom to buy the things that are good for us and not just convenient to us or time saving. God give us the time to spend cooking in our kitchens as time to share with our families. God I ask that you protect us from the things that are not good or safe for us. You have truely blessed us and I thank you for all the little blessings you have provided for me today.
