Jazz is not even close to dead! I used to live in New Orleans.... LOL Brass, funk, and jazz were my life. Every day there is a show or fest showcasing this wonderful genre.

I grew up with punk music. When I was in the 6th grade (in the 80's) I was listening to G.B.H. and The Clash.

In the early 90's, I was surrounded by the punk rock scene in D.C. ie - lived in a group home with a bunch of musicians on Dischord label and I was one of the original Riot Girls. D.C. was the place to be back then.

This is a video on my old neighborhood and house known as "The Embassy".

emoticon i would have loved to be born back during the punk scene. i'd do anything to be able to go back and watch the ramones play.

nah not really, thats all computer edit **** goin on there emoticon

Um no. Amy Winehouse actually can sing. Do you know how long it would take to use a computer for her songs, with as much micro-tonal stuff that she does. I mean it is possible but it's highly unlikely people would be willing to go through with it plus it still wouldn't sound natural (which her singing does). emoticon

Im with Deadhead, minus the LP's, plus other media. ha. I go through phases of what I like to listen to, but I end up circling back to the good stuff. Well, that and RHCP (obviously) and such.
