--Peas and Toast--

I walked into the rain
Contemplated
Bored of my disdain
Frustrated

Would you remember when I was gone
When I took my last breath
Or would you forget by dawn
The memory of my death

Could you please
Remember my name
And how I hated peas
To me, that's fame

Remembering all the little things
Is what is important
Would you do this for me
While I lay dormant

"He liked toast"
Is that what you'd say
Before I met my gravestone and host
Then walk away

Or would you stay
And ponder for an hour
About the way
My imagination stood like a tower

Raised into the sky
Could reach any limit
No matter how high
I imagined, and did it

Tired of the downpour
I went inside
Shut the door behind me
Layed down, and died

But don't cry
I'll be fine
Because I can't truly die
If I'm alive in your mind
