political correctness

Bile forms in my mouth having to submit to some kind of acceptable descriptor.

I make a point never to say "african american" If I'm not calling somebody by their name I'll refer to someone as black or maybe african... Then you get putzs' who call themselves "italian amercian" or "irish american" or what have you.

How does this usually go down in other countries?

On a related note, I recently got drunk with some natives and blurted out, "boy, you ****ing indians sure know how to drink" they did not take kindly to that but chose not to woop my ass since I had already won their favor (with my white tricks ie bringing booze).

Re: political correctness

i don't remember the lastt ime i identified anyone by race. I guess it's czuse most of the people i know talk about other people either by name or by some other descriptor i.e. "you know, the guy who lives on the next street, or the woman who has the big dog, etc."

That's how it goes for me....

I never say african american. It's not like if you called a black an african american he'd not be black. **** its just your color. Get the **** over it.

lmao!!11! @ Dan. emoticon

my boy who is white, born in africa, spent some time in the U.S. now lives back in africa running some computer business... emoticon

my other boy is a black as night haitian, born and raised. i know him through a good friend of mine, but he's only visited the U.S. twice. he lives in europe now. emoticon

my white friend is an african american and my black friend is not. not everyone from africa is black, just like they're not all white. so why would all blacks be presumed african americans? why aren't all whites? emoticon

politically incorrect. emoticon

Re: political correctness

political correctness is basically institutionalized reverse racism and stifles the first amendment. that's why it sounds so lame and stilted when someone uses a 'PC' term. put **** in neon lights so it doesn't attract negative attention...otherwise jesse jackson will roll into town with the rest of his carnival. america needs to muzzle itself while the rest of the world carries on...

urgh, PC culture...we're not so PC over here, it only flares up when USA or UK media nitpicks the **** out of some small tiny thing that would barely be a blimp on a radar here and instantly we need to defend ourselves from being branded racist. the world loves that word, racist. they love it in conjunction with 'aussies'.
