post your timeline!
Day 1
One week later, I rebackcombed
3 weeks
5 weeks and a half
7 weeks, experimented with wax (one that easily disolves in warm water, very soft) As you can see, it looks icky, but you can tell the dreads apart more easily.
8 weeks, wax gone
Around 11 weeks, maybe more, you can see all the loops, loose hair, and action going on.
Damn blonde hair makes it hard to tell dreads apart on a pic, but the lighting is different on this time, and it's a lot more noticable.
3 months yesterday!
Uhg, it really doesn't look as good in pictures. It doesn't look as messy in real life.

Maybe it's because I only kept the tip elastics on for a week and a half?
Iunno...
And I"m kinda rough with them when I wash, they seem to have unravelled more since yesterday.
Maybe I'll cut down on washing for a bit and just rince instead.
edit: and my hair is pretty thin and soft. Before I had them dreaded, I never combed. I only washed and roughly dried with a towel, and I could still run my fingers through the hair. So going natural was not an option for me :P
My 2 front dreads are pretty tight, not much loose hair... they're the ones I backcombed very tight. The ones my friend did weren't too tight to begin with. So I guess it's kinda like backcombed roots for sectionning, then the rest is going natural..
