I will have to have some pictures scanned in order to do that, as it's been aince 1998 that I had the old set. I was very sick, had chemotherapy. Decided to cut rather than have them fall out, but a family member (or several) still have them.

This set is coming along very well, I'm really pleased at how quickly they have tighthtened. I know it seems like they form very slowly when they start, but once the length gets going, they are very fast little things! :sunny:

yea I know how you feel. I didn't have dreads when I got chemotherapy but losing my hair was a set back nonetheless because I sure as hell was planning on getting them!!!
Still I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I've learned a lot, appreciate a lot more and I got myself a nice set of natural dreadies now emoticon all grown from a bald head. If that isn't something of a great new start of life then I don't know what is emoticon

woow didn't knew you had a bald head in the start because of chemotherapy.. emoticon .... always thought it was just out of principle... ( uit principe... kan ff neit op t engelse woord komen... ) that you wanted to start dreads from a bald head

but indeed.. it's probably a great way to start your life over again with dreads

Re: post your timeline!

i started the first set from half inch hair...this set i waited while my hair grew back just to make sure i was beyond it all. Each time has been a beautiful journey.

this time i have thicker hair, and about 100 dreads:-)

speaking of principle though, I keep them because every minute of every day they keep me in prayer.

mr. 9nails, you do have a lovely lovely set...gald you made it through and heck yes, you sure were getting ddreadlocked after all those chemicals!

YAY for the survivors!
