here's a recent pic where you can kinda see a congo or two. and yes, they are hot. but at the same time, they're warm in the winter. as far as being natural, they are and they arent. what you see now is a result of not doing a damn thing for about 4 years. i purpousfully combined only 2 congos (i have about 6 total, but i've also "lost" some because they've been swallowed up by other congos to make "super congos") and the rest just happened. there's one that i call the "wrecking ball" because it's always the first one to swing out if i bend over slightly and it tends to knock **** over or fall in food. about 2 weeks ago it knocked over a pint glass at a bar and shattered it. oops. :-)
but they were started by backcombing and a little wax (before i KNEW). i eventually realized to just let it all happen on its own. now some of the wax is coming out. it's all black and pretty gross.

here's a recent picture where you can kinda see some dreads and dog assholes:

because of how my dreads would "pack" into my tam, the big congo on my right (your left) is splitting into 2 roots. so it's like 7 dreads, then one dread, then 2 dreads. i think it may grow back together again which would leave a badass hole in the middle of it.
