"Presentable" No it's all acting. I'm not really sure why they call it forensics, it always makes me think of the CSI, but it has absolutly nothing to do with that. The forensics I am talking about is a speech and debate kind of thing. Another weird thing is the association forensics is in is called the NFL ( not the football), but the National Forensics League.
my dreads have been pink/purple more often than not and never had an issue with jobs etc. are you sure they'll be an issue? if so...which is more important to you, temporary dye or the competition?
I've always wanted to ask you...HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET THAT COLOR OUT??? from pink/purple to blond is pretty incredible.

"Presentable" ^ its a little trick called "stay on the water, in the sun most everyday, all day from may until now"... yup. actually, the underside (ie. part not in the sun) was still pink on most. verrrrry little washing involved.

Re: "Presentable" if what you're wearing is acceptable, you should have no problems in the tournament. do you know any of the adjudicators, or what their standards are? i've heard that it'll be hard to get work with a "non-traditional" look, but i figure talent ought to speak for itself.

"Presentable" is there an actual dress code that addresses hair style? because if it's an acting tournament with a bunch of students, they should expect all kinds of "alternative" styles and looks. you can wear a suit but i think if you have bright purple hair it will help you stand out maybe??
sounds kind of weird that they'd be so strict with such an unconventional type of competition. if it was forensics as in CSI then i could see it more...
if so, i can see the issue you might have. it's speech and debate and only the interpretive lit part is "acting." seems like a pretty high-and-tight group. dunno what to recommend.
