scalp
About 1 1/2 month ago I realized I had some build up.. waxy stuff on my scalp.. I did a ACV rins back than and it seemed to helped, but now its back again.. do you normaly have to do ACV rins that often? Could it be something else? I tried taking a photo of it, but I just got a ****y mobil camera so it doesn't show.. could it help to switch to another shampoo? I've used the same shampoo for 1 1/2 years now though..

Step 1: Stop listening to people on the internet about how often they wash. Anyone who goes for several weeks or more without washing is a nasty ass ------
I happen to know for certain that you snowboard, and that **** is gonna cause you to sweat.
Just wash more often, and it will regulate itself.
Step 2: Change your shampoos. All shampoos are gonna leave a build up. Even a residue free one. So, if you've been using 1 shampoo for a year, chances are you need to change it up once a month. This is also the reason so many people need to ACV rinse often. Find a similar shampoo, or with the one you have, add an additional product like some baking soda or bronners.
Step 3: It might take you another ACV rinse or so to clear the buildup from amassing... Sort of like washing- how if you go less and less, you can wash less often. Well, the same thing willl now go with your build-up.
~
The key is to change it up, and provide your hair and scalp with what it needs. If it is dry, use and oil based soap like Bronners or one of the coconut based derivatives. If the scalp is oily, use a salt based product- baking soda, sodium (salt water), etc. If everything is normal use your shampoo. I wash my hair with a different product almost every time. I switch between the JASON tea tree shampoo, baking soda, bronners, and just recently I tried cetaphil. It is not nearly the effort that it sounds like, and basically I wash my hair twice a week as I train every day. And even twice a week is cutting it close to too nasty for me, and I am not a sweaty guy.

Like I said, "changing shampoos" was a concept that I was told to try, but was already doing anyway. See if it works for this issue.
Maybe you need to clean more than 2x a week? I would say try the shampoo change up first. If that doesn't do it, try washing more often based on activities. At the stage you're at, it can't hurt to wash too much IMO. The hair will be clean (which is better for locking) and will get a lot of (chaotic weighted) movement, also good for locking/knotting.
Let us know what you discover...

Re: scalp
Tea Tree Oil, usually does the trick for scalp problems. I use some generic brand, and it works great.

Re: scalp
I have a weird tiny part of my scalp. I could estimate it at maybe a pin tip size. If that even makes sense. And, I get a tiny bit of dried scalp when winter comes. Its normal, but with this tiny tiny spot on my head. It is raw looking, almost if you scratched a tiny scab. I was wondering, if anyone had anything I could put on it to help heal it. Anything would do. Thanks.
