Anyone Used Dreadknot - www.dreadknot.org

Hi,

I'm lookin to get my hair backcombed, but id like to get someone to do it for me. Im based in the UK - North England, and from the sites / people ive looked at so far this guy seems quite decent: //www.dreadknot.org

Has anyone heard anything about him or used him? Hes based in Newcastle, UK. Alternatively if anyone can recommend anyone else, ideally somewhere in the North of England that would be great! :)

Cheers,
Dan

Id rather jsut pay a bit o cash to get it done, I don't really know what im doing, and haven't really got anyone around to do it for me. Its either get it backcombed here, or on a beach in South America sometime in the future, but id rather pay a bit more and get em done by someone who speaks english

dude, **** paying, it aint rocket science, most people here will encourage naturals, but if you're gonna backcomb, just a have a friend do it man.. smoke a few blunts or drink some beers watch some movies, or family guy.. and do it up. you dont need a "professional"

Re: Anyone Used Dreadknot - www.dreadknot.org

Jeez, I know people are pretty hardcore natural around here, but jeez, all I wanna do is get someone to backcomb it for me! I'm not doin it myself, cos im **** at practical stuff like that, i can't build tables, i have no talent for art, or creativity like that, and i find doing things like that extremely frustrating cos I'm a perfectionist, and I know it wouldnt look like I would want, and probably take me several days, and time I haven't got.

I also work round the clock, long hours, and different hours to all my friends - well, ive only got a few friends here, and when i see them they dont wanna be playin with my hair for 10 hours, its gonna be so much more practical for me to go and see someone, take a day from work, and get em done by someone who knows what theyre doin, and can do it faster. If I had a friend who had time to kill, who would WANT to do it then I'd do that, but seriously guys, I don't, gimmie a break emoticon

Oh, and my hair is aprox 6 inches long at the front, and a little more than 8 inches long at the back, i think thats a decent length to start with right?

Cheers, Dan

Re: Anyone Used Dreadknot - www.dreadknot.org

a lot of ppl stick to the natural dr do it yourself thing but if u really want to u can always get someone to backcomb it for u...if not friends then pay someone. i checked that guys page...he does a preatty decent job. it seems he crochets them to make them tighter. if u make a deal with him to make ur dreads ask him if he uses wax...and if he does say u'd rather skip that part.
6 inches is "kinda" short but can be backcombed. it is gonna look a bit silly for a while if they're gonna be short and they stick up in the air like in the pics (them being short i ment u can't collect them with a rubber band), but it'll sort out in a month or so

good luck emoticon
