i say leave them and let them be loose ends. almost all of my locks are like that. some got swallowed up over time, but for the most part all loose ends. and i love them. personal preference i suppose. but i say let them free.

and judging from the pics. i think they look really cool since they are fat curls at the end. really nice color too.

Your hair will fix itself. There isn't a whole lot one can do to "fix" dreads. Your peers are ignorant about dreadlocks. Don't listen to them. Down the road they will look better, and your peers will say, "I see you fixed them." At which point you can smile and say, "No. I didn't do anything."

first of all, as many people said already, learn to embrace your dreads natural beauty.

second: you could try to wear a wool tam. Wool is supposed to make it knot, and the tam makes them rub and knot against the tams inside, eachother and your head. Might work emoticon

I used to sleep with a tam everynight for probably about 3 years, now they're getting so long, that the tam gets too big! emoticon

so if the title of this topic is either do this or "look stupid"...there is a suppostition that those peole without blunt tips look stupid, so I would then figure the originator of the post is trying to justify cutting tips so as not to "look stupid."
