I wish I could afford one! Could get so much studio work done at home via MIDI, etc haha.

Plus those things double as practice pads(which I dont have!) I use the mousepad on a hard book :P

haha yeah man, they're so pricey. They've got so much better in recent years... I still wouldn't substitute for an acoustic kit, but they are very good. I played a huge TD-20 set up in a shop once and it was insane. So much fun.

For a practice pad use a pillow or cushion sometimes. It makes you work 10 times harder than playing on a hard surface, and when you get back on the kit your hands fly emoticon

Re: What are you doing, right now, and what time is it?

yep that's what I do usually anyway, I can't practice double stroke rolls without a little rebound though hey emoticon

I wish there was some sort of way I could do the same with my feet. I play heel up normally, but when I'm practicing off the kit, it's always heel down. Can feel the burn in your leg muscles a lot more + no spring tension to push your feet back a tad makes it a more intensive work-out, I find. I also notice a lot more control heel down as opposed to heel up, but practice is the key eh.

That's just the ****ty part about drumming hey. You cant be amazing without any practice. ha.

Practice...practice...practice emoticon
