Re: michael jackson dead?
How can you invoke some kind of egalitarianism and then say 'so what if Michael Jackson died'? Is that your attitude toward any death? In an attempt to introduce your position of equality, you contradict yourself by your callous dismissal of the man's passing, which I presume you would ordinarily have more discretion than that. If you want equality in that respect, then either this is momentous, as every death would be, or it is, like every other death, insignificant. I reject this egalitarian attitude altogether. Michael Jackson's death does not constitute a mere ordinary event, and he was no ordinary man. Before Michael Jackson, you didn't see black musicians on Mtv and other such programs. He was that good. He was the best at what he did, and he had a visual sensibility as an artist that most people simply don't possess. This is an international event.

michael jackson dead?
thriller album and billy joel's innocent man were the first albums (tapes) I ever owned, got them for christmas along with my first "boom box" I believe this ages me. I was in middle school.
hope he's at peace, farrah and mcmahon as well. And to be fair, the other thousands, millions who may or may not have died this week as well.
...and all y'all.

michael jackson dead?
I'm not losing sleep, it's a shame, but no more a shame than any other death, I'm not particularly cut up about it, couple of my mates are, but that's a tad lame imo.
L.A/Hollywood is so far removed from my life , bar a few songs, I don't really care that much about MJ, he had a ****ty life, that's for sure and i feel sorry for him, but no more than I feel for any other person...
