the reputation is most accurate i haven't smoked in a long time however so things may have changed.
i'm 22 lived up here when i was little then moved back from seattle when i was 18. went to school finish with an aa in social sciences but never went furthar. college isn't for me.
jobs are just like lower 48. we have the pipeline however so we have other jobs that the lower 48 does not. since we also have the long cold winters there are other job opportunities that the lower 48 does not have.
there is definately a big tourism scene up here especially since everyone thinks we live in igloos still with neighbor polar bears.

meh there's alot of non dinominational christian groups. there is also alot of holistic perspecitves up here though. more noticably than in other cities. pretty much whatever you're into i'm sure you will be able to find. may take you a bit of searching around to do but it will be here.

street - i see her every once in a blue moon in public. i work in the 12v industry (car electronics) up here we sell a bunch of auto starts. we've done cars for her in the past so there's always friendly gestures when we see each other.
loc - it can be boring as all hell if you aren't an outdoors person. if you get locked up in your house during winter depression hits pretty hard. if you camp snowboard snowmobile etc during winter though it's alot of fun. there isn't much of a downtown styled night life though. lots of bars per capita for sure and usually that's where everyone is at if they're out during the winter.
