Re: Anchorage AK
Whenever I think of Anchorage, I think of a three-eyed fish floating sideways in a puddle of oil.

higher. incessant sunlight afects circadian rhythms, which is essentially the biological coordinator -- circadian patterns are directly related to earths rotation and day/night cycle, we literally evolved with respect to the moon, the sun, and earth rotation, dope ****.
anyways, what happens is those rhythms are disturbed, and if affects the biological patterns of the people, which in turn increases sleeplessness, anxiety, irritability, and depression. endocrinic glands and their secretions "**** UP", and it initiates a feedback loop.
what people don't realize is how important a good cycle of light/dark is to their biological processes.
if you want, peep Noise Induced Coherence, its relatively new research as to how Noise (which is incoherent/non-mathematical patterns) from light, induces coherence in the circadian rhythm.

Re: Anchorage AK
I know people who lived in anchorage for about 6 years. They got special lights cuz in the winter it's only light for an hour or so. They didn't like it too much cuz there's a lot of alchoholism and depression , but they made really good money.
On the plus side of it, the surrounding country is totally pristine and there is astounding fishing and wildlife.
It will be an adventure...I think it's knda cool....
