7/10 & 7/11
I raced at Bloomington Speedway on Friday, July 10th. Not a bad night either! The track was heavy and fast! I started 2nd row outside in the heat race and after battling with Travis Todd #T15 and Steve Hollars #18, I finished 4th. I started outside row 5 in the feature. There was an early caution involving several from the front of the pack on lap 2 that involved my brother, Greg Amick #6J. On the restart, I was running 6th. I held onto 6th throughout most of the race until a late caution flag flew for Jake Byers in the #11. That allowed the 4 or 5 car length gap between myself and Clayton Perry #43 and my brother to be taken away. Unfortunately, both Perry & Amick got around me, but I finished in a solid 8th spot! Woohoo! another top 10 at Bloomington!
Saturday, July 11th was rained out at Lincoln Park Speedway.
