7/18 - Lincoln Park Speedway

I had a rough night at LPS this past Saturday. To start with, I had to start the tail of my heat race, and of course, we had more cars in our class on Saturday than we have had all year at LPS. On the start, I dropped low and got into some really sloppy mud towards the end of the front stretch. I couldn't slow down or stop and wound up taking out myself and the #21 of Dennis Morgan. Sorry, Dennis, I really didn't mean to turn you around. We restarted double file and by the end of the heat, I managed a 5th place finish, which was the final transfer spot into the feature.

Yeah, I made the feature, but we had to remove the door panel to get it straightened out, I bent the outer door bar and ripped some of the decking.

I was slated to start in the 7th row of the feature line-up. We had to re-start 3 or 4 times double file. On the second re-start, my brother Greg was put into the wall and spun out, which destroyed his body. Later in the race, I was involved in a caution where #84 of Scott Carrington spun out in front of me. THey had to use the wrecker to get Carring unhooked from my right side. I was able to continue, re-starting from the tail. I worked my way back up to around 8th and then got into a slick spot on the track and spun myself out. I wound up finishing 13th.

Also, I checked the point standings under the UMP sactioning today, I am now 58th in the nation and 13th in the region!!!
