Friday, August 21st - Bloomington Speedway
With r@#n in the area, Friday night at Bloomington Speedway was a long night. The All Star Circuit of Champions Winged Spring Cars were visiting and we had the pits full of Modifieds and Super Stocks to complete the show. Action was halted multiple times for small r#@n showers, the track workers would get the track ready to go again, pushed off the Sprint car b-main and then it would start r#@ning again. Finally, the r#@n stopped and the show continued.
I had finished 5th in the final transfer spot in my heat race. There were 22 Super Stocks on hand. Originally, we were supposed to run a b-main, however, with the r#@n in the area, Mike Miles decided to start all 22 cars for the feature. I started 15th and finished 13th. I was really pleased with my run, even though it was not my best finish at Bloomington Speedway.
