4/18/09 - Lincoln Park Speedway
Well, another disappointing night at the race track. We were able to get the car put back together from Friday nights mishap to make it to the track on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, it just wasn't in the cards for me to run.
We pulled out for hot laps, didn't even get the car into high gear before I felt a horrible vibration. The drive shaft was out of balance. So I immediately pulled in, and started checking around to see if we could borrow a drive shaft. Thanks to Mike, bomber dirver of the #3M, he had a drive shaft that would work, but it was a little too short and we were affraid of loosing it as well. So, we decided just to make a lap in the heat race and a couple of laps in the feature, so that I would get starting money and points for the night.
We will not be racing on April 24th or 25th, but will return to action on May 1 & 2.
By the way, I'd like to say hi to my new friend, Mercedes Trimble, and my buddy Taylor! Good to see you girls Saturday night!
