The trail scenario at Winds of Change

As to not spoil the fun for anyone who might read this, try not to get into detail as to what the enemies will be doing and how.

ROLEPLAY:

The witches of Brakken have been intercepting the Dark Will of Maegamarth through their rituals of Dark Energy. They hosted a powerful dark gathering, where they focused their Energies into a window, hoping that the object would serve as a compass for this powerful Dark Will that infests their spirits.

Instead, the window brought black and deadly creatures into their hidden village, and their finest scouts and Dark Energy users were forced to flee with the window. As they hoped, the black creatures lost interest in the town, but they all focused on capturing the window, which was heading northward.

The window had unexpected powers. It did not show the location of the Dark Lord, but instead it showed the location of a very peculiar relic to any Dark Energy user who tapped it... a dark crown.

The scouts were pursued by the black creatures through Snake Swamp, until finally they came to the nearly abandoned town of Gladeson.

There, the town's sole chapel was a bright haven of Light Energy, which the witches did not trust. They carried northward toward Duindor after "borrowing" some of Gladeson's supplies.

A wise cleric resided in the chapel of Gladeson, and felt the power of these happenings. He rallied what was left of the Good folk of Gladeson, and most of their town militia, and they desperately followed after the fleeing group of Dark Energy users.

They had no idea what was in store for them.

SET-UP:

While the Senegals will be helping us run a sort of ever-going battle (any grand ideas?), everyone else is told to find a party of 10-15 people, depending on how difficult they want the scenario.

(These people will be playing the town militia of Gladeson)

GAMEPLAY:

Your party is granted the cleric, who may be a wise guide, but moreso is a healer. He will be granted the power to heal 5 wounds (each taking 5 seconds), as well as the power to resurrect 2 people at the cost of his own life.

The party is also granted 5 bandages, which will be white fabric that when tied onto a limb, brings it back immediately (no armor).

The cleric will be a helpful guide, but the flow of the scenario will mainly be shown through the splattered blood on the trees (red fabric wrapped around the trunk).

Because of the unique healing rules and the desire to make this as realistic as possible, you MUST take a death, and lay down lifeless where you died.

THE SCENARIO:

This scenario will not be like any battle we've ever done. We hope to not only have the excitement and suprise of enemies coming from all over, but moreso the party needs to be on the move right from the start. Why?

When the team starts, there will be 5 enemies starting 1 minute behind them. In theory, they could finish the scenario without even fighting them.

THE OBJECTIVE:

To make it through the dangerous road until you find the witch who holds the mirror. If you can protect the witch AND the mirror without being overrun, the Greater Good will prevail.

If you fail, and the mirror falls into the wrong hands... there is a wicked chance of the Crown of Maegamarth finding its way back to its owner very soon.

Anyone who can complete the scenario while keeping the cleric alive is awarded extra badassery points.

WHAT WE NEED TO DO:

- Cut 20 thin strips of white fabric (for limbs)

- Cut 20 wide strips of bright red fabric (for tree trunks)

- Make a white tabard for the cleric

- Bring black face paint and lots of fake blood

- Play the role of about 6 injured/dead witches

- Make the mirror (I imagine a circular piece of 8" clear plastic that's rimmed in blue foam, covered in tape, then has dark writings on it)

Whhhhoooooo wants to heeeeelp volunteeryndor?

This scenario sounds awesome! I guess you thought my idea was a little too cruel eh? I suppose it was.

I think I can manage the paint stuff we need. Just let me know exactly how much we need and I'll see what I do with my budget.

Excellent, Wog is on the white and red fabric.

Actually, Wog, if you don't mind, just make sure you find easily rippable fabric because I'm pretty sure we need some headbands for the actual battles. 60 red and 60 green sound good?

Deakon, I'm sure the window will be BA.

Noroko, just make the tabard simple, but make sure its a somewhat period material, ya know, with a little texture and heft to it.

Zafthan, save that scroll, bro. We'll definitely use it at some crazy scenario one day. I love the idea, I just don't know if it would work with the pace of this intense scenario.
