Cooks in Legacy?

Hey everyone,

I have a little idea that I would like to pass around to everyone in the Legacy.

Now, I don't know if anyone remembers all of the cooking that some of the members of the Warband did at Rag, but it was really good. With that in mind, who in the Legacy can cook?

Personally, I am planning on doing alot of cooking at any of the campouts that I will be going too, that is if I get the things to cook with that I would like. I know of maybe 2 other people that would, but I think that we should try to do a type of joint cookout for Legacy, and just about anyone else that would be willing to help cook. By doing this, it would help save you some money, and enjoy some "real" cooked food.

Now, the first "Eryndor" campout is not untill the last weekend in May, but I thought this would be a good idea to bring up. This would also give any of us "cooks" plenty of time to figure out what we could make for everyone.

All of those cooks out there, let us know if you are willing to do this. I am, and I hope others are too.

I'm in. I'm pretty good with an open pit and not a kitchen plus when I experiment it usually works better than stuff I try to make from a recipe.

Hey not so sure about cooks sort of say but we do have some mean bakers. I'm referring to Linwe and our new addition Kiala. They make some mean pasties and sweets. I plan on doing something like a legacy only dinner one night. Where we all come together as a family unit and feast in fellowship if that sounds like a good idea to you guys. If it does then lets start thinking of ideas on what to have for this feast.

Maximus thats awsome! NOw we have an official chef in our unit. Not trying to put you on the spot or anything I just thought it was cool, thats all. Also If multiple people wanted to grill the spot I was thinking of for our feast would be next to the pond or just on the otherside of the pond near the entrance to the campground. At that spot if I remember correctly we could easily grill two the three entrees. So if that helps and with our fires back at camp im sure there will be more than enough cooking places. Just some ideas to throw down before june is here.

I LOVE to bake. Some may even say that I'd make a great Baker some day... emoticon

Unfortunately, not the kind of thing that could happen at Rag (unless I do it before we get there-which is a possibility.)

But as for cooking, since I'm a new veggietarian I'll be bringing a lot more food than I used to. So I can definitely help in the cooking while I'm next to you making some fake dogs and burgers. haha

PS I'm a GREAT s'mores maker...so we'll go with that.

OH - AND, we have this new guy down in Atlanta who is a chef and one day came up to me and said, "you know how people have one thing that they bring to the table and just do it as their big contribution to the group? Well mine is cooking and I'd like to do it all the time for everyone." Mind you, this was before he was even apart of any group (actually at his second practice ever.) Needless to say, we've asked him to join and he's now loud and proud Legacy baby! We've been rallying pretty hard to get him to come to Rag and if he does, I'm sure he'll be in on this.

As long as I can still get in on one of Wog's pie filling sandwich of deliciousness mcgee pants, I'm happy. emoticon

I've been forced to cook cheaply in order to survive ever since I moved out into the big scary world over a year ago. I loved cooking at Rag last year, and Seiichiro and I are doing it again!

*shameless plug* Monday night at Rag, we're having a potluck cookout at the main pavilion. Botch and Ketch are being cool and sharing space, so everyone should come on down and bring something to share! Only rule is: bring your own feastware and/or something to pass.

On another note, if anyone needs help cooking any other day...whether it be watching a pot boil, or doing prep-work, just holler and I'll be happy to lend a hand!
