Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Hey fam,
I'm so pumped we have a place to actually chill and reconnect with one another for Ragnarok.
The only question is, how are we going to make our little plot of land Home for a week?
- Definitely need some kind of shade structure.
- I think we have a couple Legacy/Eryndor flags already
- Food/Drink? Cool water on tap? Sap of the Lifetree?
Who else has some ideas?
See most of y'all at the pre-Rag practice.

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Do we have an idea of how big our legacy area is? i got a small fold out canopy, and a really big screened in canopy, i can back to you on the sizes.
I'm driving down with some north peeps in a suburban. so i think i can haul a little extra stuff for the site. but thats just a guess. we should also look into a decent size table? or will we be able to snag a picnic table from the the campground?
as for food/drink. does someone have a large gatorade jug. we can use one of those for communal water or other various liquids.
last note: more than willing to mix up some sap for the legacy. i just cant pay for all that myself.

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Well, even thought I am going going to be there for the week, I would still like to help out for everyone that is going to be in Legacy camp.
If we do happen to have the space for a small "community" area, we should try to make one. Also, I noticed that a few members of Legacy that are going to be a Rag also cook a little bit, and might be interested in cooking while there. I have a large grill that can be used if anyone wants. I would have to know before hand however, so I can pack it up when I head down to help set things up.
I am going to try to bring this up again at the Pre-Rag practice, so anyone who happens to be there, please let me know if you want to use it.
For those who can't make it to the meeting, let me know on here, and I will try to get in touch with you.

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
I'm planning on bringing my Everledden Lifetree battle standard to the upcoming Pre-Rag practice, so if someone could take if off my hands at said practice and take it to Ragnarok for me, that would be great (I'll be late to the week-long party - my employer mandates it). That way, we'll have another Legacy banner there to represent how much we represent. A lot.
Additionally, I heard that we might be camping out with the Fury of the Called for Ragnarok. Is this for sures? If so, I approve.

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Ame,
Come look for me for getting your banner down to Rag. I am going to have more space than I thought, so I should be able to fit it into my car.
I just have one question about it though, is it all one piece, or does it come apart in some way? This knowledge will be very helpful when I am packing my car up. Thanks

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Sorry y'all... sadness...
but we do NOT have a shade structure yet. The one we hoped we had... that one is long-since destroyed.
Any ideas? We must have an area to chiiiilll...

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
ummmmmmmmmmmm
Hey y'all, I just heard about the new fire rules... and honestly I'm a bit confused. We can't dig fire pits... but what kind of fire CAN we have? Anyone know?
More importantly, is someone able to bring something for Legacy camp or are we going to bite the bullet and buy something last minute?
And a friendly reminder, we still do NOT have any kind of shade structure! *gasp*
Y'all got the memo to B.Y.O.Lawnchairs, right?
Lots of love, let's work this out.

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Ok,
Arias sent an email out to everyone letting us know that he has a fold-out canopy that is 12X12. He is going to bring that out with him, and hopefully we will have enough room in camp for it to be set up.
As for the firepit, does anyone have a small backyard fire pit, or a half metal barrel that can be used as a fire pit? The campgrounds is NOT, I repeat NOT, going to let us make our own fire pit on the grass or dirt in the camping areas. We would have to provide our own fire pit, so if we want a fire, we would have to find some way for us getting one there.
If no one has one, the only other way that I can think of us having a fire is by going to one of the stores in town, either Walmart or K-Mart, and buying one for Legacy. I have been looking around an the prices range from $80-$150, depending on the size them.
Also, I have not heard is anyone wanted to cook during the week of Rag, and if they wanted to use my grill. I, personally, will not be there for the week, but I have no problems with any member of Legacy using it. The only thing that I ask of you is to provide your own propane for it, and keep it clean. If no one wants to use it, I will not pack it when I come down to help set things up, and that will give me some space in my car for anything else that needs to be brought down.
I will send this out in our mass email as well, so I can make sure everyone gets this info.

Re: Legacy camp at Ragnarok!
Ok, Arias try to bring both of your canopies. If you are able to bring only one, then I can try something using some tarps and some poles that I will be bringing.
As for the firepit, Mithris mentioned that he will try to get the one at the "Baker House." If you can get that to Rag, everyone make sure to thank the Bakers for letting us us it when you show up at the Post-Rag Potluck on July 11.
Remember everyone, we are going to be camping very close to each other. When you show up at our site, be sure to find either Mithris, Athron, Noroko, or Wog, and we will tell you how we want the site to be set up. Even though I will not be there for the week, I still want to make sure everyone is set up nicely, and everyone has a good time in camp. Always respect your neighbors, both in our chapter, and in others. Make sure you pack for anything. We have had everything but snow at Rag. And if it were to snow, that would not surprise me.
