About the Legacy Logo...

So... what ideas do people have for the Legacy Logo? We're going for a "slightly modified Eryndor Logo" look.

Eryndor Logo stylized more like a sapling (fewer branches, perhaps a few small leaves, same roots).

Re: About the Legacy Logo...

Well I drew out an idea. It's not really great b/c I'm not a great artist but I think it gets the idea across.

Damn it all!! Well I clearly don't know how to get an image up here but click here and check it out:

http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2836460740101885512XhsFaQ

And here's my reasoning:

If we're talking about our name (Legacy) what does that mean? I'm in the understanding that Legacy means we are the legacy of Eryndor. We are the true spirit and represent the beginning. We are the roots, are we not? So to extend the roots of the tree is a symbol of just that. Making the roots the focus of the drawing shows that that's what we're trying to make people notice. That's what we are.

At first, I was thinking of having the roots be busting out of the circle but when I drew it, the circle didn't fit all the way around. However, I thought that made an interesting look in itself. To me, having an almost completed circle behind the tree looks like the sun. In an optimistic mind, I saw the sun rising behind our tree; showing new life, growth and symbolizing a bright future.

As for the tree itself, I suggust, we keep it as is. If anything, maybe stretching the branches to make it fit the "circle" a little better; kind of meaning we're beginning to branch out. But remember, the branching out or buds (in this interpretation) would be more of an Eryndor thing b/c Eryndor, as a whole is branching out and creating new buds. Thinking only of Legacy, I would think we would just excentuate the roots; us.

Truely, this is just suggestion. These were just the thoughts that I had. Plus, I'm trying to keep in mind (specifically for people like me who are artistically challenged) that we want our tree to look awesome, but not so awesome that no one can recreate it. I like being able to draw my own symbol on stuff and I'm just afraid we might get too carried away and I won't be able to do that (again, did I say I suck at drawing?)

Anyway, I'm excited for Legacy. I think we're a great bunch and I can't wait to fight at Rag with you guys!!!

I love the idea linwe!!! I love the drawing Katsu...however I'm afraid it isn't something I would be able to duplicate...maybe something a bit simpler?

I agree for something a bit simpler. I mean, Katsu your idea looks great, but personally i think it would be a raging pain for someone to try and make a stencil out of it. (for those who can't even draw a duplicate)

Katsu's current idea, but take away the heart, make the 'branches' look more classic to the old Eryndor symbol, and bring back part of the circle... make it more like a 'halo' in the sense that the roots blast through, over, and past the circle.

I think that might like stupid-fly.
