First how come when I click on the forums link it doesn't take me to my gmail account?
I'm not a fan of having expectations placed on myself. I think I've changed what I fight with at least 4 times this year. (bow and arrow, spear, sword and board, Wall and ball..., even a solid period of time of only single bluing...) Look I'm just not a fan of people expecting X when I want to do Y.
Ranks are fun to achieve tho' which is a reason why Eryndor has the battlefield ranks and masteries.
I guess i'm just saying i'm not interested in Legacy having ranks, as I feel that they should be separate from the unit...which is why I was in favor of keeping the battlefield test system.
I guess I'm content, but by all means develop something to satisfy yourself too!
EDIT: I'm also not in favor of 1 person always being in charge of anything. Thats a low of pressure on that said person... we don't need to put that kind of commitment on people. Plus by passing duties around we get new ideas on how to do things.  Just do what makes you happy, and help out when you can.
