Rain, Rain Go Away!
We're having a downpour right now so heavy and intense that my pool just overflowed and then collapsed and spilled 4,000 gallons of water (in addition to the several inches of rain falling) onto my back yard.
So, I guess we're done with the pool for the season.

That's O.K. I was really tired of cleaning it.

We'd like you to go outside and wave that rain on up the coast, please! We need it.

Re: …
My daughter and I went to the movies last night and we missed a HUGE downpour.
Oh...we saw Bottle Shock. Uh...it was okay. Alan Rickman WAS the movie...of course...so it was worth it to watch him. Otherwise? I'd say fairly mediocre. Could have been good...but wasn't really. When we were buying the tickets, an extremely pushing older man behind us (we'd noticed him being generally annoying in the lobby) was so excited when he heard our movie choice. Apparently, his brother-in-law is the producer and he wanted to meet in the lobby after the movie to hear what we thought. Uh...I'm glad we didn't see him and we left very quickly.

Re: …
yes...disappointing. Very choppy and, I'm sorry to say, some REALLY bad acting (not Alan...of course). Bill Pullman should give it up. Seriously. My daughter was so bored and every time he was on screen, she'd lean over and say, "Lone Starr".

Rain, Rain Go Away!
One of the things I hate about commenting on blogs is that I can't go back and edit.
(I do edit the comments on my blog so that people aren't embarrassed. It's one of my many unique services....)

This is, like, the nicest thing I've heard in a while. There are some who would leave the mistakes for all to see. Yet another reason why you're the blogging queen...

Rain, Rain Go Away!
*blushes* Yeah, I hate it when I meant to write "you're" instead of "your", or "they're" instead of "there" or "their". I'm totally bummed when I post something that makes me look like a monkey punching buttons. So, I correct mistakes. Unless it looks like the mistakes are intentional. Also, I like the edit comments feature in case someone uses a word I don't allow. Then I can change it and keep the comment instead of just having to delete it entirely.

Rain, Rain Go Away!
Exactly! I HATE when I do that. Plus it always irritates me when I see it.
There, I've said it, I'm a compulsive correcter. Don't think less of me.

Such is our lot in life...Thank God for edit features and backspaces. These have saved my pencils from eraserless existences.

is it pushing it to ask for a tiki stamp?

Rain, Rain Go Away!
that's right, I think a tiki stamp would clearly indicate progress in academic pursuits.
