Maybe I should be more sensitive, but considering that these are the terrorists that try to kill loggers. They load up trees with nails in the hopes that a logger will hit one of the nails with their chain saw, breaking the chainsaw but in a way that usually kills the logger. They aren't nice people. I mean to people. They are hecka nice to trees.

Anyway, this little recording made me laugh.

Really, you don't need to be more sensitive. At first? I didn't think it was real. Then? I couldn't stop laughing. Give me a break, people. I mean, really...give it a rest. I don't think the trees can hear you but you ARE very entertaining, though.

Holy crap.

My speakers haven't been working this week, so right now was the first time I've been able to watch this.

Mr. D said someone should let them know that that tree was cut down to make the price tags on their expensive, hippie hemp clothes.

I just watched it again. After I stop laughing, I have to pause and say "WTF?"

Someday, they'll look back and ask, "What was I thinking?"

I hope, too, but after I submitted that post I thought...Nah, probably not. Sad. It's scary to see people get sucked into these kinds of things. You know there are a couple in the group who REALLY believe this crap and the rest are just followers. It's a cult mentality and there are always people willing to humiliate themselves in order to fit in and feel a part of something. In the early 90's, New Age crap was huge, around here. I went to a couple of classes. I didn't last long when I realized I spent most of a class being embarrassed for someone else. The things people do to...like I said, embarrassing.

I guess I'm just too cynical to fall for it. Christianity - there is a long history there, plus they've got some seriously deep thinkers. I couldn't do that either if it weren't for the meaty commentaries and profoundly deep books that I've read. The fluffy poofy mile wide inch deep variety of Christianity does the same thing to me that new age floofyness does, nothing except annoy.

I know what you mean...floofy-poofy, self-serving beliefs are VERY annoying. Believe me, I've run into some bizarre people...most border on being con artists. History and deep thought...good. Give me money and I'll tell you the secret...bad.
