HOW TO POST PICS
Deep /Hot Linking to pictures is not allowed and the pics will be deleted. Continued abuse of this rule will cause the user to be banned from this site.
There are several places that do not allow linking pics to Runzboards, such as Geocities, Tripod, Yahoo Groups, TopCities, Xoom, Dot Photo, Webphotos, Webshots. You can, just post a link so people can find the pic you want them to see.
You cannot post pics directly from your PC
So the first thing you have to do is make sure the pics you want to post are located on the internet, somewhere on a server that allows linking here.
1. Once the photos have been uploaded to the image storage site, click each individual photo so that so you get the larger version or on the URL if that feature is available.
2. Right click on the photo, then click on Properties from the dropdown menu. (normally the last on the drop down menu) Using your cursor, highlight the full Internet address of the photo (usually starting with "http:// and ending with jpg). (example :http://img.hostsite.com/albums/v222/username/Album%2001/0930s012.jpg)
3. Now, press "Control-C" (control and c at the same time) to copy the address into your Edit buffer. Or right click and click on 'copy' and that will save it in your clipboard.
4. Then go to the forum and select "Post New Topic". You will then have the posting screen. I prefer to use "Codes" rather than html, so in the box under the post icons select Insert Image. A box will appear to place your pics URL. Paste it in and hit Okay. For multiple pics repeat the process. Recommend a space between each pic.
Note: There is an auto http:// in the box where you are pasting the pics URL. Either use it or delete it. The pic can have only 1 http:// code in it.
Recommend you highlight & copy the post then hit "Preview" at the bottom of the screen to see how it worked or be brave and press Submit New Topic. If you have an error, don't stress. You can edit your post at any time, and if you can't quite get the hang of it we will help out. It's really simple after the first few times.
