Re: Sideshow Darth Vader, Storm Trooper & Rebel FLeet Trooper.
Hi Reavengeance, I would happy to help you if I own a Sideshow Stormtrooper.
As you can see in my display, all are marmit troopers.
I passed this figure as to save money for other figures. Secondly, the proportion like short waist & curve lines on the arms and legs of sideshow do not fancy me. I love the Marmit version.
Ok, I came across a thread that a guy from Hong Kong used HT slim body to modify. Here’s the link,

http://www.hk501st.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1704
As how I see, I think both narrow true type & slim type can fit into the SS trooper's armour.
Our fellow friend, mywii from Malaysia used a true body type.

Hi rarra92, please be careful when modify your vader.
Do make adjustment & think twice before you do the cutting. Here's some pictures to show you the modification. Hope it's help,
Modified thigh.
Modified neck.

that seems like a nice mod, but I wonder how the neck is attached now? it seems you can just pick the head up? or am I wrong?

Re: Sideshow Darth Vader, Storm Trooper & Rebel FLeet Trooper.
Another question about Iceberg's mod,
I really wonder if the head stays on with that mode because if you removed that black thing sticking out underneath...

...how does it keep sitting on its place now, I wonder if you turn the head up and down, won't the head just fall off with this mod?
Because I think the purpose of that thing is to let the head sit on its place...
But now its gone

Re: Sideshow Darth Vader, Storm Trooper & Rebel FLeet Trooper.
Hi Riko, I'm sorry to have confuse you.
The reason I modified the neck is to close the gap within the helmet & chest armour.
Then I glued back the neck with superglue.
OK, I'd re-arranged the photos with instructions. You may go back to the first thread I sent.
Thanks for the advice, my friend.

Re: Sideshow Darth Vader, Storm Trooper & Rebel FLeet Trooper.
okay guys, I just received my Darth Vader and it is good looking aight
I JUST removed the dome, and it was A ^^^^^ removing it, daaaaamn
Since I cannot find my Dremel for now, I am gonna try to fix the box chest sitting more straight by padding the stomach area underneath his jump suit
Here a small step by step:
1. making sit Chestbox straight
this is what I used for materials, the foam from the box itself and some tape that I had left from modelling
it looks good imo
2. Padding shoulder armor
here I just took a piece of paper and folded it a few times and again taped it to the bottom of the shoulder amor
3. Dome modification
later
you gotta excuse me for the bad quality, it was taken with my cell.

Re: Sideshow Darth Vader, Storm Trooper & Rebel FLeet Trooper.
Again, I apologise for the crappy quality (2 megapixel)
It's taken in a kinda grainy Michael Mann quality
But whenever I have the chance, I will take decent photos, but meanwhile, here is my modded Vader.
I HATE (yes I use that word) the unmodified dome, I have tons of pictures from "out of the box" figure, and its not bad of course, but it is just so obvious that its not screen accurate, and that the dome SHOULD sit lower!
So I did the dome-mod, the chest-mod and the shoulderpadding-mod and here is the result

HT Slim body almost perfect fit. There is no sanding/filing required....
