I have medicom vader and stormies - but those stormies look irresistable...always wanted more stormies so these might be the answer - the vader i doubt will be able to pose as well as the medi...but I might preorder the exclusive anyways - can always cancel it later or sell it on...

Having had a look at the better pics it would appear the only thing the SSC Vader has clearly done better than the Medicom ones is the scale.
The bodysuit and cape both look to be made of crappier materials than Medicom used and should I ever get the urge for a 1/6 Vader I still think the best option will be a custom from Hurricane.
The Stormtrooper protos look decent and have the ANH style helmet that the Medicom ones lacked which should make their Sandtroopers look more accurate but I still can't get too enthused about a faceless trooper as I've seen enough of them from Medicom.

I'd rather have a faceless Stomrtrooper than a Temuera Morisson head in there. This does not necessarily applies to Clones which come from Jango Fett

another meh for me too. i love my medi darth despite the height. the level of detail on medi's is way better imho
cobra commander looks interesting but that sculpted mask is a little odd looking. they should have at least used cloth

Thanks for the pics Jkno.
I'm quite impressed with what Sideshow's done with these and if I was still big style into Star Wars I'd almost cetainly pick these up. I think the Stormtroopers look a lot better than Vader though, now all I want to see is the price point.
