Re: Utapau Clone Trooper 212th Battalion
Got mine....
inaccuracies of the helmet aside
the body still sucks, it's loose especially the legs, they can't really hold a pose.
The paint work is great, so are the guns.
But I don't really like the left hand, as it's very hard for it to act as a support hand for the blaster.
I'm trying to sell it.....but I may keep it after all, since they have just announced Commander Cody.

Re: Utapau Clone Trooper 212th Battalion
I decided not to sell him.....need a trooper to go with the eventual Cody.
Arghhh....
Anyway, I'm trying to switch him over to a true type. But it would be possible unless I do extreme sanding to slim down the whole body.
Guess I'll just wait for the HT slim body to arrive, so that I don't have to do so much work.

Re: Utapau Clone Trooper 212th Battalion
i've got me my utapau trooper, Jun....whilst visually appealing, i must say the joints are HORRENDOUSLY LOOOOOOOSEEEEEEE...he's sagging under his own weight?!?!
and the armor parts are a lil' poorly joint together? say the elbow armor is constructed of two kinds of plastic? hard abs and some rubbery material? the rubber part seems to be really fragile....
and the shoulder straps of the chest armor are terribly glued..i've got a gap on mine...
but nevertheless still looks good on the shelve till i pick him up...
do give me a heads up when you find a slim true type...i guess i'd mod mine too.

Re: Utapau Clone Trooper 212th Battalion
I got a slim true type from TFH already and honestly, I won't recommend anyone to do the change it.
The slim true type is still too big for the armor, you have to either sand off a big portion of his waist/buttocks in order to make the armor fit nicely.SO be prepared, there's a huge amount of work involved in order to let it fit nicely.
I got tired after a few hours and started to use brute force to get the armor glued together
I really hate the hard plastic armor...personally, I feel that they are very brittle and easily broken. When removing the armor, I already broke several of the small little clips at the side.
I haven't found a good way of using the ankle ball joints as well, mine just keep falling down.
I'll try to post some pictures soon, if time permits.

Re: Utapau Clone Trooper 212th Battalion
would appreciate the photos JUN!!!! and i'm truly sorry to hear that your armor parts broke for your figure....that kinda feeling must be unimaginable...
even mine isn't entirely good either...terribly worried about the somewhat falling apart elbow pieces because of materials construction and the poor gluing up of the figure's armor...
the pegs seem a tad too small to fit into the true type if i'm not wrong...so i'd recommend you try this trick off some forum i saw....its basically taping the pegs to make em' slightly thicker, but i remember them using some kind of masking tape with a rougher surface... you could try that bro...

Re: Utapau Clone Trooper 212th Battalion
This may not be the most accurate figure, but I am not enough of a Star Wars expert to know what is (or isn't) accurate. Does this character even exist in any movies?
Anyway, I really like this figure in my display. It really stands out. I have around 50 figures in my 12" Star Wars display (Medicom and Sideshow) and I think this is definitely one of my favorite troopers.
