For me Davy looks fine. I don't see what the obsession with cloth attire is on 1/6 scale figures and I'd be happy if all figures in that scale were fully plastic.
At any rate the barnacle stuff would be almost impossible to do well had the attire been cloth and I think Hot Toys made the right move.

as long as articulation is not as bad as i've been hearing BCM, I'll nagre, but so far he sounds about as articulated as Neca's version.
if it's true, hot toys just massively bellyflopped.....

If all 1/6 figures had plastic attire then articulation would be horrible. It just makes sense to use cloth to acheive maximum articulation. Imagine RE4 Leon with a plastic jacket that is unremovable. But I do agree that it probably wasn't possible for Davy. All those barnicles would have to be glued on and would've probably fell off later on.
