Re: Hot Toys-TDK-Tumbler-Batpod and new suit-pics and full spec

I mailed a few ebay sellers from hong kong and I got a mail back from "to_bid_or_not_to_bid" when I asked him how long it would take, he replied this:

Thanks for the email. There are only 50pcs Batmobile
(out of 5000 they have made) released through Hot Toys's
retail store to their VIPs and for those who order
directly from their retail store. Our shipment should be
here by the end of July. Hot Toys is making a quite
difficult situation for us as the Batmobile is huge (3
feet long) so their logistics department is having a
hard time for the shipping schedule. I will be in
contact with their shipping department 2 times a week
and follow up our orders. I will keep you posted. Sorry
for the wait but the wait is nearly over :-)

So I guess by the end of July everybody will have his notification of payment if they pre-ordered ;)

Very impressive details! Still think for that price that a detachable Batpod should have been included, but those are beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting them here, Riko8.

Can anyone confirm that the Tumbler's scale is accurate? From some angles it looks really good, but from others, it seems a tad small when juxtaposed with the 1/6 TDK Batman figure. There was only one shot in TDK that showed its size compared to Bruce's. I don't own Batman Begins, but for those who know the film inside and out, did HT get the Tumbler's proportion right?

who knows that? besides if you are in the movie industry and are aware of how hot toys scaled this thing down to 1/6.

But based on the pictures above (and many other pictures) it is quite clear that they got many exterior details right.
The profiles of the rear tires are something that are not 100% accurate, but rather than that I do not see something else that is way off..

It fits 1/6 figures perfectly, so it should also be perfect 1/6 scale. (not like the so called 1/18 scale model of the 1989 batmobile from Hot Wheels, that is not a true 1/18)

Why do you ask if I may ask?

emoticon Holster your six shooter, my friend; I come in peace. emoticon I was just wondering if people who own the vehicle, or those who don't and have to "eyeball" it from the pictures, were content with the accuracy of the size. I was leaving the floor open to any observations, such as your assessment of the rear tires, which was important to know and for which I am grateful. The Tumbler was a big project for HT to take on, and I think we can all agree that they did a fabulous job bringing it to life. But with the price tag being what it is, I merely wish to know if they truly made a gold medal product. Hence my asking about the scale, which is the strongest selling point to me. To this end, I greatly appreciate all input; after all, one of the biggest benefits of Medi World is being able to acquire a good sense of the products you hope to one day purchase thanks to the kind and generous insight of your fellow collectors. emoticon
