Re: HT The Joker photo thread

Since all we've been hearing is praise for this figure I thought I should mention some things I didn't like about the figure.

1. I don't like the way they did the necktie. You can't really tighten it.
The collar is also really hard to adjust and make look nice.

2. His green vest is only green in the front...the color in the back is greyish. Almost as if they don't expect you to take off his trenchcoat and second jacket. Or maybe that was how it was like in the movie...but common sense tells me it should be completely green.

3. No relaxed right hand

4. The cards and paper bills are made of paper. I know it's probably not possible to have these in plastic but I don't like accessories that wear out over time.

Those compaints above don't seriously affect how cool this guy is though! I couldn't capture him well with a camera and you really have to see it in person to appreciate it. Tilt his headdown and he gives you the most evil stare you'll see from a toy (great paint job on the eyes!!). Hopefully we'll get a version two Joker that is smiling

Joe who is a reputable dealer in the states has posted new info on a "Bank Robber Joker."
It may end up becoming a DC direct exclusive though.

Here is the link:
Bank Robber Joker info

Oh and Joe says that TDK Batman has been moved back to October and the Tumbler and Batpod to 2009.

wow....they better make sure the bank robber joker comes with a removable mask.
The guns he used and the grenade complete with pull string he put in that poor guys's mouth.

Also a few big bags of Money would be nice!

Darren - thks for the info and your thoughts of the figure! btw, are the cards & bills really fragile thin paper???

No problem Kaz! I'll try to get better pics this weekend...don't have the figure with me right now--I seriously need a better camera.

As for the cards and paper they aren't paper thin...they are more like cardboard...sorry for the confusion.

I'm sure futzing with the clothes won't be a big hassle for a lot of you.....I have very little patience when it comes to adjusting 1/6 clothing emoticon

The vest is accurate, but the movie version is a darker blue and there are bigger spaces between the lines.

As a sidenote: this is common in patterned waistcoats like the Jokers. As it is designed to be worn as part of a suit, only the front half will be patterned with the rest being lining material to make it more comfortable for the wearer.

You can see it here:

Sorry to read about the collar and tie though... those are really the only parts on the figure that at first glance strike me as deserving definite improvement.

EDIT: Found a photo of the front/back of Joker's waistcoat, it's two tone just like the fig.

Still bitter at me I see. Why don't you take off some more of my karma points I'm sure it'll make you feel better. emoticon

Truthfully I've never bought a waistcoats like that in my life (I'm sure I'm not in the minority here).....and I would assume that most people would expect the whole thing to be colored the same.

speak for yourself. I hold no grudges, it just seems as if you were nitpicking.

Just a sugarcoated way but still... nitpicking.
