haha...cos I prefer the Medicom version...
Actually there's a few reasons, the neck is too long and his expression never did cut it for me, especially the eys. I always felt the eyes lack the intensity that Christian Bale had when he portrayed Batman.
But the main reason is still the rubber suit, just didnt want to have it disintegrating on me. My Takara Bat's suit was spoilt less than a year of owning it, due to me posing it alot, was afraid that the same thing would happen with this figure as well.

Re: HT Batman original suit photo thread
anyone heard of Vinylex? Its similar to Armor All in that its a protectant & resorant, but its supposedly better for rubber cause it doesnt contain any silicone? Wonder if it'd be good on these figures.

Re: HT Batman original suit photo thread
Hey guys. I need some input. Seems I have bad luck with HT capes. My TDK suit came with a drastically uneven cape, one side is a good 2 inches shorter than the other correct length side. Jun was good enuf to let me buy the cape from thats being sold off for pieces.
But now I've just open my BB suit that I received today from Retaane, & would you believe there are cape issues on it as well. They were both new sealed ones so its QC issues in my case. The cape for my BB is twofold, Near mid edge on the left side is a stain, like if glue or something dripped on it. Whatever it was went thru to the underside of the cape, the stain I mean, the fabric is still there, theres no hole or anything, its just discolored.
On the opposite cape corner, its discolored as well. But its different here, almost like if the cape was dyed, like this area was missed.
So basically, I need to color those areas of the cape. Im wondering what to use to do it. I was thinking like permanent marker or maybe shoe polish would work

Re: HT Batman original suit photo thread
Hey, FinnSnake -
Permanent marker would work. I've used it before to cover blemishes on black fabric.
Just dab the area that is dis-colored and let the inkd soak in and spread. Keep doing that until the dis-colored area is covered.
Permanent marker black ink isn't truly black (it's got a purplish hue to it) - so the trick is to confine it to as little are as possible (just the dis-colored patch). Do that - and it won't be noticeable at all.
Also - don't rub with the tip of the pen onto the fabric. Just dab.
Should be fine.
