wow, everything about this figure is sensational! from a purely aesthetic perspective, i'd have to say this is one of HT's absolute finest figures. damn! the sculpt, the paint, the accessories, and that outfit!! hope the movie is as good as this.

Thanks for the Pics Wookster ! Definitely an amazing figure. I am thinking even if the movie sucks, or if I never see it, (it's by the director of Casshern) I still have to have this figure. So when Hot Toys isn't releasing figures form Kojun we'll have figures from Yulli ? Sick emoticon.

I watched the trailer, the CG looks really obvious, the movie seems too MTV and stylish for my liking, personally I'll be passing on the film, but the figure looks great.

I had the same issue with Casshern. I think that movie would have been better had it been 100% CG.

i hated casshern the movie. i didn't have a clue what was going on, and like you said kaido, really felt it was overstylized. not enough substance in the end. and the direction was so damned confusing!

i hope this movie is good. i'll give it a whirl and let you know what i think kaido. might be worth a look, you never know.

i love the tabi boots this figure has. i have a shorter pair of these which i wear to uni sometimes. i always get strange "weirdo" looks. but they're so damned comfortable and warm. but i guess they do make me look like a camel, especially with my camel face.

"Shinobi - Heart Under Blade," the live action adaptation of Basilisk anime/manga had the same issue too; although slightly better, the over-the-top action and posing, plus poor CG effects drove me crazy.

But those are the lame-O Japanese action flicks. There's a lot of great samurai ones being made; I just bought The Hidden Blade, When the last Sword is Drawn. Wondering whether or not to get Blood and Bones with Beat Takeshi.

wow, i love japanese samurai flicks. not heard of those ones though - will have to write these down. we rarely get these films early though in the UK. i'm a huge kitano fan - is blood and bones an office kitano flick (i.e. written, directed, edited by and starring him)?

one of my faves was twilight samurai - loved that one.

The Hidden Blade director also directed Twilight Samurai. I don't think Blood and Bones is 100% Beat Takeshi, but he is the main actor. Apparently he puts in an intense filled performance a la Daniel Day-Lewis.
