Re: Gentle Giant ROTS Clone Trooper Mini Busts
Darth Maul looks as though it's gonna be one of GG's finest efforts. Who cares if the damn thing has an edition size of 10,000, I'd rather that than 2,000 and not be able to get one.
Darth Maul and Jango Fett are both on my preorder list Vice. I'm gonna skip Jedi Luke though as I don't think it's as good as the other Luke Skywalker mini busts GG have released.
Minor bounty hunters don't interest me that much either to be honest, so I'll probably be able to save a couple of bucks for later on in the year.
I'm not sure about their new animated maquette line, I've only preordered Boba Fett so far, I think I'll wait until I've got one in hand before I pass final judgement on whether or not to collect this line from GG.

Re: Gentle Giant ROTS Clone Trooper Mini Busts
BTW I'm glad I'm not a completist with the mini bust line though ;).
I've been staying away from the GG section of the RS homepage recently cos I'm sick of hearing about Blackhole Trooper, Mara Jade and Shocktrooper, there are other mini busts getting released this year =D.

Re: Gentle Giant ROTS Clone Trooper Mini Busts
Have you guys seen the new Stormtrooper maquette?
It's not as cool as I was hoping for but I'll still get it, this will be my second maquette to go alongside Boba. GG sure are bringing these guys out thick and fast this year.
So far we've got
Boba Fett
Leia and Artoo
Darth Vader
C3po with Jawa
Xwing Luke
and now a stormie.

Re: Gentle Giant ROTS Clone Trooper Mini Busts
I like the clone wars maquettes because they are from the actual cartoons.
but with these other animated maquettes , i really dont see the appeal.

The boba one has an edition size of 7,000 so there'll be plenty to go around even after he comes out .
I'm not as excited by the line as some Nash but I think the appeal is to see SW characters in animated form, guess there wasn't much else left for GG to do after all the mini busts and statues had been taken up :holy:
I would have rather seen a mini statue line to be honest, than animated maquettes but the Boba Fett kicks ass, Leia and Vader are also pretty nice pieces IMO.

Re: Gentle Giant ROTS Clone Trooper Mini Busts
They have so many cooler things they could be making. More statues for one.
Also when the hell are they going to to an ROTS Obi or Anakin mini busts? Even battle droids or they could even start a ship/vehicle line.

Re: Gentle Giant ROTS Clone Trooper Mini Busts
Yeah ROTS Obi and Anakin busts must be on the agenda. I'd also really like to see a Kit Fisto bust in the near future, maybe once they've tackled the bounty hunters they will move back to the Jedi.
