Bertie the Pipe Bomb Robot by Ashley Wood

I cant believe I took this long to notice this figure. I must have been asleep. Ashley Wood is one of my favorite artists! (you guys may know him as the artist for the Metal Gear Solid Comic game.)

Bertie is one of his robot creations. It is a 1/6 figure. Available from many places, even Sideshow. He isnt cheap though with a 500 piece limited run, they are priced at 299.

He comes in two flavors Desert Combat, and Dirty Deeds.

Desert Combat

Bertie the Pipebomb features over 46 points of articulation with posabililty down to the tips of his fingers, capable of holding any accessory in hand. Each piece of the Bertie - Desert Combat figure comes complete with belt of desert combat web gear, 11-inch rocket propelled grenade launcher, two fragmented grenades and 4-inch revolver with rotating chamber loaded with anti-personal rounds.

Dirt Deeds

Each piece comes of the Bertie - Dirty Deeds figure complete with belt of desert combat web gear, two fragmented grenades, 4-inch long revolver with rotating chamber loaded with anti-zombie rounds, 9-inch long machete, mesh bag, three zombie heads.

I bought the Zombie Slaying version. Too cool.

Great review of Bertie on OSW

Hey Master Monkey, it looks like there's going to be another 1/6 figure based on another one of Ashley Wood's creations.

I saw a pic of Les Mort 13, a cross of Ghost Rider and the Shadow. It looks really badass, but I have a feeling it's going to be pricey. Still, I think that figure is more up my alley than Bertie.

I preordered Les Mort 13 direct from Bambaland. $130 shipped anywhere in the world. Seems they take PayPal only.

Yea he looks good. Ordered for sure.

Bramble is going to be amazing though. He's on my list as well. Unfortunately my medi and HT orders had to be cut, but I just cant refuse gigantic robots with 13 inch gatling guns.

Bertie is so damned expensive, I just can't do it, sadly. I hope he'll come down $100, maybe some kind of clearance sale somewhere and I might get lucky I hope. I would have really loved the black Dirty Deeds version.

I would get Bramble too, if the price isn't too high.
