Loading up some pics as we speak.

I messed around with him a bit tonite, and then put him back in his box. The paint apps on mine are okay, but not clean like Figma. It's got this dark-washed look. Also his head & arms are slightly darker skin tone than the chest. I don't own any Frauleins, but he comes in a longer rectangular box like the ones they come in. Dante from Devil May Cry only stands up to his shoulder.

As for whether he's any good, I'll start with negative first... remember, just my opinion.

Playing with Kenshiro, I instantly remember why I prefer Figma over RT. I hate those little clicky joints! Mine are too tight and you can see the little joints especially bend and flex dangerously as you try and yank them out to change his head, right upper arm, and hands. I have a pair of Revo-pliers and still doesn't help. My fingers are really sore too, trying to pull Kenshiro's body parts apart to try different things. Plus my hand is still sore after breaking my RAH Punisher. He also has a lot of cracks and quite noticeable seams, esp in the hip joint. All these ugly warts show up even more when taking close up pictures.

 emoticon

Having said that, he is a great posing toy. I also like his size and the arm details. He isn't that photogenic (b/c of the little flaws), but he looks great on my desk here, where the lighting is just regular lightbulb. Oh yeah, he's also frikkin' Kenshiro, one of the most bad ass characters ever! His nunchucks are fine, and he comes with an impressive number of hands and this extra shoulder to change his look up a bit.

The main thing RT has going is their licences are the stuff I love. Even though I dislike RT, I've got the ARX from Full Metal Panic!, and Kerberos coming very soon.

Well, something going on with Photobucket tonite, can't even get into the site much less load pics.

Will I buy more Hokuto Revoltechs? I think so. At nearly $30 a pop, it's pricey for your handful of plastic. I'm still definitely getting Raoh, and likely Rei, but as for the others, I'll try to wait for clearance and eBay deals.

This is my fav shot!!!

Kaido, do take caution with Dante. Mine broke his arms after repeated posing.
The cut joints they use for human characters are very weak.
I have both Saber & Dark Saber and both their arm joints are weak like its gonna fall off anytime soon.

thanks for the shots kaido! you're a tough critic but when it comes to these little figures. I think you made a great purchase. Those shots definitely got me drooling... if it wasn't for all the 1/6 releases I would have bought this guy already.

Thanks for all your comments guys.

Jun, my Dante's arm had broken off too but I was successfully able to glue his arm. Just a teeny tiny drop of Krazy Glue away from the joint and it's been holding pretty good since as you can see! These pics are all post repair.

Gatackfc, thanks for your comments. It's an alright toy if you can get a good one. I looked back at Elljay's pics and it looks like his may have had a worse paint job than mine. Btw, I just noticed last night that one of the RT joints in his ankle was a bit broken. It still works, but a piece of the 'cross' in the joint has fallen off. I have spare RT joints, but unfortunately the ankle joints are a dark brown and the only joints I have are black. If I am desperate I will need to swap it out and it will likely not be that noticeable.

And Synboi, I agree! Not only is the head too small, but the expression is weird too. Dante is one of the earliest releases though. This is just an illustration about how far the line has come over the years.
