I went to see Fantastic Four 2 Rise Of The Silver Surfer last week and really enjoyed it, it was far better than I'd expected it to be.

Other than that and Spider-Man 3, I haven't seen many movies lately but am hoping to catch Die Hard 4.0 next weekend and Harry Potter after that.

Yeah, not too sure about Die Hard 4.0. Don't want to tarnish the other three.

I mean, I don't even think McClane says 'Yippee-ki-yay, mother****er.'

That just isn't Die Hard.

I think he does say his yippe kai yay... the bus posters here for the movie just have "YIPPEE KI YAY MO" (the MO is cut off as the edge of the poster) and under is "John 6:27" like chapter/verse in the Bible.

It got decent enough reviews that I'd go watch it if I could... I watched all three in theatres, the first two with my dad too.

I'm not too fussed about Transformers to be honest, I missed the whole Transformers craze in the eighties so there's not much nostalgia there for me.

McClaine does say his catchphrase in the new Die Hard film, someone whose seen it over on SSF mentioned it in the review they wrote about the movie.

Apparently despite the PG13 rating it's still quite violent and bloodthirsty, just with less F words than the previous movies.

It's not really nostalgia for me jabba, even though I grew up during the "craze" days of the 80's, the movie just looks bad ass is all!

After seeing the trailer I wasn't too impressed, I was left thinking Godzilla with robots, much better films coming out this summer IMHO.

Totally badass man. I think most who are caught up in the 80s would be dissing the movie as the designs & storyline are so different. I was dismissing the movie for the longest time and then one day I was at TRU and saw them playing the movie preview at a huge TF toy display. The preview knocked me on my ass! I didn't know it was going to be that awesome. Looks like people are gonna die! Or at least insurance companies will be going bankrupt by the time the movie is over and they have to pay for all the damaged stuff... emoticon

I really enjoyed Live Free or Die Hard. (I really enjoy the original Die Hard, Shooter, Rambo, Predator too, really all these types of movies, just so you know where my mind is when waching these types of films.)

Comparing this to other Die Hards, I enjoyed it more then Die Hard with a Vengence and probably as much as Die Hard 2. It had the right amount of action, drama, and humor to make a great film. Timothy Olyphant was an accepatable villian. Not the best, but he got the job done. (He was no where near Alan Rickman level, but he was definitly comparable to the other two movie's villians.)

Bruce Willis as always was very good, as McClane. I absolutely loved the way he would just kind of snicker, or chuckle to himself, when something cool happened. Justin Long also added the right amount of realistic humor. He was in no way over the top annoying. As an added bonus Kevin Smith was also very funny.

There were two scenes that I thought were a bit over the top though. I won't mention them as not to spoil anything, but I think the movie could have done without them and been even better.

Overall, as I say I really, really enjoyed this iteration of Die Hard. Even with the PG-13 rating, I don't feel much was lost. I would whole heartidly recommend this to any fan of the franchise, and also any fan of summer fun and action.
