Re: Nobody seeing any movies lately?
Snipers do rock indeed! I have always had a fondness for them.

Re: Nobody seeing any movies lately?
Watched X3 on DVD tonite. Guess you gotta watch it if you watched the first two. I was dreading watching it b/c of the poor reviews it received. Overall, it was okay. I was going WTF??? at the end of the show. They really painted themselves into a corner man.
Concepts like X-men prolly shouldn't be made into movies, it prolly would have been better had it been a TV series or something, for better plot development, etc. but then again, what do I know?

I saw Shooter last week on DVD. I really liked it, pretty cool movie and Ive been waiting for a shoot-em up sniper movie like this since Berringer's original 'Sniper' flick.

Re: Nobody seeing any movies lately?
It has been awhile since we had a good sniper/shoot em' up movie hasn't it? This movie flew under the radar this year, if more people saw it it would've been huge.

Sniper movie "Enemy at the Gates" was really good too! I've never watched Sniper, w/ Tom Berenger, only Sniper 2 which I don't remember being any good.

Jarhead featured a sniper story too, but it's not a sniper movie.
Personally thought Jarhead was only so-so. Guess I thought going in there would be some action, but it wasn't that kind of movie.

Enemy at the Gates was rad, Jarhead, so-so. I really liked Barry Peppers role in Saving Private Ryan also, he kicked ass!

Re: Nobody seeing any movies lately?
Not so much watched a movie for the first time today, but rewatched an old favourite film I hadn't seen in a while, the first Die Hard.
With the new movie coming out I decided it was time I caught up with the original and borrowed a copy from my dad to watch with the g/f this afternoon.
It's a classic, Alan Rickman is a fantastic villain and it's still as tense and exciting as it was the first time I saw it years ago.
Can't wait to see the new one
--- The Doctor: People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect... but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly.... timey-wimey.... stuff.

Strange, only just rewatched it last night!! Such a fantastic film, is my favourite of all time, except for Batman Begins. The part where Gruber and McClane meet for the first time is particularly brilliant.
Going to watch Die Harder tonight.

Rest In Peace Heath. You will be sorely missed.
