Your top 20 films of all time
Sorry if we've had threads like this before, but I thought we could have a permanent thread where every member has one post each where they put their top 20 films of all time (10 is just too hard). Then when the list changes we can come back to our individual posts and edit them. I'd be interested in what you guys consider the best of the best. Get listing!!

Re: Your top 20 films of all time
I've a feeling once Watchmen is released I might end up adding that to my list of top 20 movies of all time, the previews and trailers of it look amazing.

Re: Your top 20 films of all time
Tough to do! Almost need 20 films per letter of the alphabet! But here are some of my fave movies:
Sexy Beast
The Crow
The Train
Saving Private Ryan
Open Range
Unforgiven
A Clockwork Orange
A Better Tomorrow
Heat
Carlito's Way
The Godfather
Aliens
Fist of Fury
The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi
Seven Samurai
Kill Bill
Pulp Fiction
Amadeus
Heist
Shogun Assassin
This is impossible, I can go on and on and on...

Re: Your top 20 films of all time
quick note for red - tombstone is one of my all time faves too - i read something interesting today. apparently it was entirely directed by kurt russell himself, and george p cosmatos was only a ghost writer. kurt russell promised not to let the secret out while cosmatos was alive. he was recommended for the project by sylvester stallone after they worked on rambo together. it was the same situation there - stalline pretty much directed that movie himself. kurt russell is awesome - i just wish his career was still as great as it used to be.
another interesting fact is he auditioned for han solo like many many others. funny thing is, he's probably one of the few people i could actually see in the role if harrison ford hadn't got it. same with tom selleck for indiana jones (although that's probably going to be a VERY unpopular comment!)

I didn't know that es, thanks for that tidbit of info! And I agree, Kurt probally would be on the short list of actors that could of pulled off Han.
