Anime - The Sky Crawlers
Directed by Mamoru Oshii who created and/or directed Patlabor, Protect Gear Kerberos (Jin Roh), Ghost in the Shell movies... anyone watch it? Is it any good?
It's coming to DVD in a couple of weeks.

Re: Anime - The Sky Crawlers
In my humble opinion, it was a boring pile of crap. But lots of other people seem to think it was great and have given it great reviews and some even have considered it to be on their personal top 10 lists (!)

Re: Anime - The Sky Crawlers
Maybe download it first to decide. To me the characters were always so... uncaring? No emotion. I don't know the word I'm searching for.

Re: Anime - The Sky Crawlers
I came very close to buying it on Blu-Ray for $30.00 It was a toss up between it and Underworld Rise of the Lycans. I chose Underworld because it was only $22.00. I am glad now that I didn't buy it. I've loved Mamoru Oshii's work in the past. I guess I will buy this at a discount on Ebay. But if your into the Underworld series I highly recommend Rise of the Lycans. It's better than the 2nd Underworld film by far. You can compare it against the first and it would even win in some area's and that's without Kate Beckinsale's character Serina.
