Re: Video Games
Hey Arkham Asylum got incredibly good review from IGN.com, 9.3 or 9.4.
I'm playing the action game Shadow Complex right now (Xbox 360 downloadable) and it is a LOT of fun. There's quite a few 'whoa' moments too.
It's a 2-D game like Castlevania and Super Metroid where you can go over the map and return to get things you couldn't get before. Graphics are outta this world, considering this is a downloadable! 360 owners can't go wrong with this one.

It is out today in N.America! I ordered mine online, so mine will get here by end of the week, hopefully! However, I only paid $38.99 and did save $30, so that's good!
If you're Canadian and are interested in Arkham Asylum, get your copy from Bestbuy.ca within the next few days. Price in the store is $69.99!

Started playing Shadow complex last night. Great fun. Reminds me of the old side scroller 'Flashback' a bit.
Batman isnt out here yet, but Im ready! I have heard great things, but have purposely not tried the demo or even watched any trailers. Figured I'd keep it a surprise for myself hah!

I downloaded the demo of Shadow Complex and thought it was decent and I'll probably get the full game at some point.
I've just downloaded Trials HD from XBLA which is a kickass sidescrolling motorbike game along the lines of the old NES game Excitebike.
The graphics and in game physics are decent and there's a wide range of sub games to go with the 50 tracks that are used in the main modes. There is also a simple to use course designer which allows you to share your creations via XBoxLive so there's plenty of life in it.
I also got the DLC for the Transformers ROTF game which has 3 new MP maps plus the following new characters,
Movie Jetfire ( MP only )
Movie Sideswipe in 2 colors ( original and G1 )
Movie Jazz
Movie Soundwave
G1 reskin for Ratchet
Stealth reskin for Bumblebee
G1 Optimus Prime
G1 Megatron ( he flies instead of transforming into a gun )
G1 Starscream
G1 Sunstorm
I could have done without the G1 stuff as I'd sooner have seen Skids,Mudflap,Jolt and some of the other Movie Constructicons one of which ( Scrapper ) already has a model in the game but all the new character models do look good and G1 Starscream's special move is almost worth the 800 points alone.

Re: Video Games
I finally beat Shadow Complex 100% last night. It was an easy game to play and get into, I really enjoyed it while it lasted. It has big time nods to the 2-D Metroids and even the 2-D Bionic Commando.
Now... time to take down the Joker and his gang!

Re: Video Games
I got Batman:Arkham Asylum today and it more than lives up to the promise showed in the demo which I was very pleased about as things don't always work out like that.
Everything about the game is quality but the voice acting in particular is maybe the best I've heard in any game.

Re: Video Games
Yeah, Batman is great! But I put it aside for now to play Killzone 2.

Re: Video Games
I finished the main story of Batman this week and have done about 78% of the game in total, and am now trying to get the remaining riddles and challenges solved.
The next big release for me is Forza 3 which is out later this month. The car damage modelling in the demo is pretty crappy but I enjoyed the demo aside from that and the customisation that's possible with the paintjobs is a major appeal as I want to recreate numerous Transformers cars as there's plenty of the correct vehicles in the game.

Re: Video Games
That's cool!
I recently beat Killzone 2, it was a hard mutha of a game, I had to go on youtube to see how to take down the final boss.
Last night I finished Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, it was an excellent ride and I was sad when it was over. I may yet go back and look for the final 25 treasures I missed. But on my PS3 list, looks like Infamous will be next, or else Resistance. I have Valkyria Chronicles as well.
I'm also playing Wii again, I got Muramasa and Little King's Story which are pretty good. Still, hard to go back to the Wii & the lower quality resolution and graphics when you've been playing PS3 for a while.
