Kazukikun-yeah crazy I know. Wiping the dust near killed me too.
Porkins-Yeah sold em ultraman vinyls off but still retaining the medicom ones. I went into full blown medicom collecting after I bought the new rider 1 and Project BM kabuto back in october 2007.
Advocado- Disintegration of the faux leather suits is inevitable I guess..only a matter of time...I place lots of silicon gel near my figures though.
Mywii- Oops. My bad. Ultraman doesn't smoke and like Ultraman, I'm a good boy now. quit faggin to buy more RAHs. I think 12 inch collecting is my only vice now....

Except for Old Rider 1 & 2 and on the arm of Skyrider's suit, none of the other classic riders had pleather suit on. Mostly nylon stretchable material hence should be more lasting 
As for them looking a little flat on the sides, the actors themselfs aren't hunk anyway so it probably is screen accurate in this instance.

Recently They announced that Gatchaman was to become a major motion picture- CGI. Hot Toys announced that they will be doing the figures(I can't wait). So feeling nostalgic I went back to my original old Medicom Gatchaman figures or Battle of the Planets as they are known as in North America, to shoot some pics.

Oh yeah, Hunter D1, looks like in the last pic, the emblem starting to crack there, bro!
Nice pics though! Can't wait to watch the CG movie. And you prolly know this already, but just in case, Takara has a 1/6 Princess figure in their Cool Girls series.

Thanks Kaido ! Yes I actually had the Takara Princess first version, but took her apart years ago for a kitbash. Wish I didn't now for the sake of these pics. Advocado is right about the costumes peeling because the vinyl clothing is very cheap on these. As for the chest emblem on my Mark cracking, I just like to think he's a little battle damaged. haha !
