Even so... Given its size, I'm pretty offended at the price. I don't care how iconic the bike is; 430 USD is ridiculous. If it was a combo set (a joint manufacturer effort), then I'd maybe be willing to go up to 500 USD, but 430 USD for the bike alone is absolutely a bad call on Bandai's part. As of yet, the bike doesn't have the vertically lifting wind shield that was so neat about its design. And even if Bandai engineered that, it still wouldn't justify the price. What the ****. I was looking forward to this one, too. And even if I were to fork over the money for this thing, it would just feel wrong. Bandai is taking advantage of Akira in the worst kind of way.
...unless I miscalculated the 円 to $ conversion.

Can't believe we've come to this... paying scalper prices direct from the manufacturers.
I honestly can't see toys rising in value anymore when their msrp is already sky high...

I guess the R&D to create this is really expensive not to mention the manufacturing costs... who knows how big their margins are going to be. But yeah, our hobby is pretty expensive sometimes!

For this price, Bandai may as well put in a GPS as well. Better yet, why not OnStar? Then at least they could justify the price on this thing.
